The National Citizens' Movement
for Free Elections participated
today (June 30, 2010) in a
videoconference on "Observing
Electronic Voting Technologies:
Methodology and Its Challenges,"
organized by the National
Democratic Institute (NDI). The
videoconference was participated
in by about 40 Indonesian civil
society organizations, with
resource persons in Jakarta,
Washington, D.C., and Manila.

Volunteers affirm
their commitment to free and fair
elections and to NAMFREL

NAMFREL-CBCP-NASSA’s first
Regional Assembly for the 2010
elections was held on February 1
and 2 at Lancaster Hotel in
Mandaluyong City, attended by
volunteers from NCR, Southern
Tagalog, and Bicol. Participants
were briefed on the automated
election, its strengths and
weaknesses. The Comelec was
present to make a PCOS
demonstration.
